PPL/IR Europe new member of Europe Air Sports

After approval of the General Meeting in Friedrichshafen the Annual General Meeting of PPL/IR Europe has accepted the membership of Europe Air Sports.
PPL/IR Europe is a non-profit organization providing private pilots a way of exchanging knowledge and experience about instrument flying in light aircraft.
PPL/IR Europe is increasingly involved in European legislation matters likely to affect their members and both Europe Air Sports and PPL/IR Europe are strongly interested in joining forces.

Announcement Programme Manager

The Board of Europe Air Sports announces that, by mutual agreement, the agreement for consultancy services with Mr. Michael Paul, the Programme Manager for Europe Air Sports, will not be extended beyond its initial six months period and will therefore terminate in May 2005.

The Board has decided that, from June 2005, the duties of Programme Manager will be undertaken by Mr. Rudolf Schuegraf who, in consequence of this decision, will stand down from the Board at the General Meeting in Friedrichshafen.

Presidents Address Eurocontrol Business & General Aviation Day

At the Business & General Aviation Day at Eurocontrol on 8 April Sir John Allison, President of Europe Air Sports, addressed in his opening speech an audience of the leading European aviation regulators and officials in the European Union, as well as many from the aviation community of pilots, operators, manufacturers and aviation service providers. He set out the key issues affecting the future of air sports and recreational aviation in Europe and received many positive compliments.
