Main issues were the preparation of the Workshop on Part-M (maintenance) in Cologne on 4/5 November, the situation on regulatory initiatives for light aircraft, various airspace matters and organizational issues. At the General Meeting, held in Friedrichshafen on 23 April, new Board members have been elected. The Board now consists of the following members: In addition advisory members to the Board have been elected by the National Aero Clubs and European Air Sports Unions: The meeting has reached decisions on organizational issues and discussed various technical items, like the EASA Part-M (maintenance) Regulatory Impact Assessment, Opinion on Licensing and Operations, and Airspace SES charging scheme, airspace classification and equipment requirements. The General Meeting of Europe Air Sports will be held in Friedrichshafen on 23 April 2005 from 9-17 h, concurrently with the Aero Exhibition on the airport. The meeting will be hosted by the Messe Friedrichshafen and the German Aero Club. ( categories: )

Prior to the General Meeting in Cambridge a Technical Conference has been held on 17 April. The meeting started with an extensive presentation by Mr Eric Sivel from the EASA Rulemaking Directorate. A vivid discussion developed and Mr Sivel responded with open-minded and clear answers and recommendations. The joint dinner took place in the famous King's College, sponsored by the Royal Aero Club of the UK. Guest of Honour was the first president of Europe Air Sports, now Honorary President, Mr Frederic Marsh. ( categories: )
