JAA Licensing Sectorial TeamSubmitted by rschuegraf on Thu, 26/05/2005 - 16:50.
On May 25 the Flight Examiner Panel met in Hoofddorp to discuss possibilities for reducing the requirements for the Instrument Rating for PPL A and CPL A holders. This task was given by the Full Licensing Sectorial Team to a small working group after its decision to keep the principle of a one tier Instrument Rating irrespective of the level of the license. What counts, so the LST, is the qualification of the pilot and the level of skills which are required to operate an aircraft in IMC.
